my order from moderncitizen.com was smooth. The tracking was clear, I got updates when it shipped, and I could see where the package was along the way. It did lag for about a day at one point, but it wasn’t a big deal. Everything showed up in good shape, so I’d give it 4 stars.

I feel kind of embarrassed admitting this because I thought these pieces would be so easy to style, but they just don’t work with much in my closet. They’re cute on their own, but every time I tried to put an outfit together, it felt off...

I really wanted to like these clothes, but they just looked plain on me and had this weird boxy fit that wasn’t flattering at all. What annoyed me more was the return policy, it feels like there are little loopholes where something technically “qualifies,” but then you find out there’s some condition that makes it harder than it should be. Just not a great experience overall.

I really wanted to love what I got from Modern Citizen because the pieces looked nice online, but the quality didnt quite match the price. The fabric felt a lot thinner than I expected, and after one wash I noticed a seam already starting to look loose. The fit was fine, nothing awful, but it just didnt feel as nice as I hoped. Its not terrible, but I probably wouldnt be in a hurry to order again

I returned my order to Modern Citizen, and the whole refund process just felt off. The tracking showed they had received the package, but then I was left waiting with no real updates, which was frustrating.
I ended up emailing them and got a very generic response, but my money still took way longer than expected to come back. I don’t think I’d order again because refunds really shouldn’t feel this uncertain or dragged out...

I’ll be honest, the items are nice and the quality seems solid, but the prices feel a bit higher than they should be. I don’t mind paying for good stuff, but in this case, it just didn’t feel totally fair to me

These look really cute, but after about ten minutes they start itching like crazy. I wanted to love them, but they’re just not comfortable to wear.

I liked the look of the pieces, they’re cute, but for what I needed, they didn’t really work. Just didn’t feel very office-friendly, at least for my usual days

My order showed up in this thin mailer all crumpled and kind of half open. The item itself was fine but the packaging felt really cheap and careless. Not what I was expecting and it made the whole order feel rushed...

I got my order sooner than I thought, which was a nice surprise. You know how shipping can sometimes take forever, but this one showed up quick and everything was totally fine.

I really wanted to like Modern Citizen, but the sizing is just... weird. I ordered my normal size and one top was super tight, then another one fit huge. Same thing happened with the pants, like totally different fits for no reason. It’s annoying having to guess every time and then mess with returns. I don’t think I’d order again

I was a bit disappointed with the fabric. It felt rough and kind of cheap right away, which isn’t great when you’re expecting something comfortable. Not the worst thing ever, but definitely not what I was hoping for.

I ordered the sage dress, but when it showed up it was so much darker in person, almost more gray than green. The fit was fine, so that part wasn’t the issue, but the color was completely different from what the pictures made it seem. Kind of frustrating because I spent all that time picking it out and now I have to deal with returning it, which just feels like a waste of energy.

I tried a few times to pay, but the checkout just kept failing on me. Compared to other sites I’ve used, this felt way more frustrating than it should have been, especially since I was ready to place the order.

I do like the style, and the quality seems decent overall. That said, for the price, I guess I was expecting a little more? Maybe I’m being too picky, but some items felt like they were worth it while others made me wonder if I should’ve waited for a sale. Shipping was perfectly fine, no complaints there. I’d probably buy again, but only if there’s a discount.

I’ve shopped around on Modern Citizen a few times, and I do like their style. The pieces are simple but still have a little something different, which is kind of what I’m usually looking for.

Just a heads up though: if you see something you really want, don’t sit on it for too long. I went back later to grab a color and smaller size I had been eyeing, and it was already sold out, so I had to settle for another option.

Overall, I still had a good experience and the site is easy to use, but the inventory can be frustrating. I just wish they restocked faster, especially for the popular sizes and colors.
